Our Journey

Redefining The Way We Heal

We believe that healing is something everyone can experience, and that everyone has something they need to heal from. We emphasize the importance of taking a slow and mindful approach to healing, stating that "There is no fast track to healing; sustainable change happens with small steps, love, compassion, acknowledgment, and support."

Diva Vinciguerra
Social Worker

Diva is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Social Worker with over thirty years of experience in British Columbia, Canada. Her unwavering passion for personal growth, social development, and empowerment has guided her work across diverse settings, always with a deep commitment to supporting others.

As a lifelong learner, Diva has always sought to heal from her own personal struggles—stemming from displacement, dispossession, and the dysfunction within her immigrant family of origin. In her journey toward healing, she found sanctuary in yoga.

Yoga has been a transformative and integral part of Diva’s life. In 2022, she pursued Yoga Teacher Training with Hali Love, and her journey has only deepened since then. A recent 500+ hour certified yoga teacher, Diva has become a passionate advocate for trauma-aware mental health yoga. She believes deeply in the profound connection between the body and healing, particularly in the process of post-traumatic growth.

For Diva, the alignment between the principles of social work and the teachings of yoga—especially those passed down by T. Krishnamacharya, the grandfather of modern yoga—is not just a theoretical idea, but a guiding truth. She is firmly convinced that healing begins with the self, flows through the self, and ultimately leads to the self. As Krishnamacharya said, "Teach what is inside you, not as it applies to you, but as it applies to the other."

Diva’s journey is a testament to the power of this wisdom and the transformative potential of integrating yoga and social work to empower and heal.

Our Logo

Has a pretty cool meaining!

Circle

The symbol of totality, unity, infinity, without beginning or end, original perfection, the Self.

Rainbow

Rainbows are universal symbols of hope, love, renewal, beauty, wonder, harmony, unity, spiritual transformation, happiness, and acceptance.

Infinity Symbol

The word infinity comes from the Latin word 'infinitas” which means endless or unboundedness. It signifies that life is not just a one-time journey. But rather, it's a series of cycles, reincarnations, and spiritual evolutions, making the symbol akin to nature's endless rhythms.

Faded orange color

The color orange is often associated with spiritual practices, including meditation and compassion. In Southeast Asia, Buddhist monks wear orange robes that symbolize simplicity and letting go of materialism. The tradition dates back thousands of years to the time of Buddha.

White color

White is associated with truth, purity, cleansing, healing and protection. It is a good general healing color for the removal of pain and suffering. In the aura it signifies a high level of attainment, a higher level soul incarnate to help others.
